This in-person book study, designed for educators at South Heart Public School, offers a comprehensive exploration of The Anxious Generation. The course will begin with a two-hour introductory session, followed by weekly one-hour meetings over the course of 10 weeks, and will conclude with a final two-hour session and an additional hour dedicated to writing a reflective paper.
Through assigned chapter readings and weekly group discussions, participants will engage with the book’s insights on how technology, beginning from birth, has reshaped students' minds and behaviors. This study will focus on the growing mental health challenges faced by today’s youth and provide educators with practical strategies to better understand and address these issues. Participants will develop an increased awareness of the intersection between education, mental health, and the technological influences shaping the current generation of students.
