Through the school improvement process, participants will analyze academic, behavioral, and cultural and climate data from the 25-26 school year. Participants will then collaboratively design Goals, Objectives, Critical Initiatives, and Key Measures for the 26-27 school year. Available resources will include High Reliability Schools by Marzano, Warrick, Simms (2014) and The New Art and Science of Teaching by Marzano (2017), Leading Standards-Based Learning by Tammy Hefelbower and Behavior Academies by Hannigan and Hannigan (2024). Each school will have a math and reading goal tied to our School Board goals. In addition, a goal related to behavior. Each school will be tasked with implementing Tier III Behavior Interventions. Each school must also develop a process to ensure quality communication with families. DPS is working on Level 1, 2, 3, and 4 of HRS. Each school is concentrating on different levels. This course will offer personalization for each school. All schools will need to provide NDA + interim and summative data along with Vital, HRS, Engagement, & School Climate Survey.
