Participants will dive into the ideas presented in Reimagining Student Engagement. Through reading, they will enhance their understanding of student engagement. They will focus on the three essential goals: developing new vocabulary for real classrooms, proposing an engagement model that positions students as active partners in the learning process, and embedding the concept of engagement into the teaching and learning process. They will build this idea by sharing instructional strategies designed to develop and reinforce student learning in their professional learning communities. Teachers will help students take ownership of their learning and increase engagement in the classroom.
