Pollinators in the Classroom (Summer 2026)

Course Description:
Course will explore pollinators, what they are, where they live, life cycles, ecology, importance of pollinators and how you can make a difference with potential service project ideas.  Workshop is standards based, teaching across the curriculum with hands on activities to engage all learning styles. The workshop will be fun and fast-paced with discussion of classroom and curriculum integration, and includes walking field trips, weather permitting. All materials are included.

Course Objectives: 
•    Students will be able to identify pollinator species and their habitat needs. 
•    Students will develop understanding of the importance of pollinator species.
•    Participants will be able to integrate resources into their existing curriculums. 
•    Participants will develop lessons plans to integrate knowledge acquired in the workshop into their existing curriculum
