This course is intended to provide teachers with deeper knowledge, skills, and practice to address reading difficulties successfully. With LETRS, educators benefit from understanding the content and methodology of research-based, explicit, structured literacy instruction. They also learn deeply about cognitive and language factors shaping student learning and pedagogical detail.  Upon completion of the course, teachers will be able to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students. LETRS addresses the English language structures, the cognitive processes of learning to read, and the teaching practices proven most effective in preventing and remediating reading difficulties, including dyslexia.
