This course is intended to provide teachers with deeper knowledge, skills, and practice to addressreading difficulties successfully. With LETRS, educators benefit from understanding the contentand methodology of research-based, explicit, structured literacy instruction. They also gain a deepknowledge of cognitive and language factors shaping student learning and pedagogical detail.Upon completion of the course, teachers will be able to differentiate instruction to meet the needsof all students. LETRS addresses the English language structures, the cognitive processes oflearning to read, and the teaching practices proven most effective in preventing and remediatingreading difficulties, including dyslexia.
