This course explores strategies to engage students with mathematics instruction that is integrated with the creation of visual arts. Visual arts and mathematics standards will be explored. Participants will engage in hands-on art projects (appropriate for use with K-12) while learning the math behind those projects. Math concepts addressed in this course include geometry (all levels), measurements, and symmetry among others. Relevant works of great artists will be addressed. This advanced course prepares participants to create grade level appropriate mathematics instruction infused with visual arts.
