This professional development course is designed to strengthen staff capacity in creating a safe, supportive, and high-achieving school environment through ongoing training, collaboration, and reflection across the school year. Topics include de-escalation and relationship-building strategies, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), school safety protocols, staff retention and recruitment supports, curriculum development, classroom management, climate and culture, and team-building practices.
Staff will engage in a combination of direct instruction, interactive training sessions, collaborative planning time, and independent reading and reflection using the professional texts The Power of a Positive Team by Jon Gordon and The 7 Commitments of a Great Team. The course emphasizes practical implementation, teamwork, and continuous improvement aligned with school goals and student needs.
