Backpack PD: Personalized Professional Development for Teachers: Session #1 Fall 2024

Participants choose their own path of learning from various professional development options available. Professional development opportunities will be put into backpacks and will take 5 hours to complete. Participants may choose any combination of 3 backpacks to receive a continuing graduation credit through a cafeteria plan. Backpack topics include professional development on standards-based learning, instructional strategies, grading practices, disciplinary literacy, assessment creation and many more. Each backpack is divided up into 5 parts where teachers will read, research, and review materials and collaborate with an instructional coach. Participants create products aligned with the learning in each backpack for their students and implement these products into their classroom. Participants reflect on their learning process.
